Second Consultation workshop Somalia GCF Country program

In the second consultation workshop of Somalia’s Country Programme for the Green Climate Fund (GCF), stakeholders convened to refine and solidify the program’s objectives, country priorities and project ideas. Participants engaged in comprehensive discussions to ensure alignment with Somalia’s climate resilience and adaptation needs. The workshop provided a platform for diverse voices, including government representatives, civil society organizations, private sector actors, and community leaders, to contribute their perspectives and expertise. Through collaborative brainstorming sessions and focused deliberations, attendees worked towards crafting a robust program that addresses the country’s unique climate challenges while fostering sustainable development. Emphasis was placed on identifying program and project priorities that contribute to low emissions and resilience development of the Somali society. By harnessing collective knowledge and fostering partnerships, the workshop aimed to pave the way for a transformative GCF Country Program tailored to Somalia’s context, capable of catalysing positive change and building resilience across various sectors and communities.
