We have officially launched the second phase of the campaign to raise awareness about single-use plastic bags

We have officially launched the second phase of the campaign to raise awareness about single-use plastic bags. The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of the Federal Government of Somalia, committed to addressing and protecting the environment, has initiated the awareness campaign on the use of single-use plastic bags.

Ministry staff have visited various businesses and sections of the community in the city to raise awareness about the impact of single-use plastic bags. This campaign will last for three days, with a focus on the importance of stopping the use of plastic bags to ensure a sustainable future.

Reminder: This awareness is part of the government’s official plan to ban single-use plastic bags, effective from September 30, 2024.
