The event was officially opened by the Ministry’s Director General, Mr. Abdirisak Ahmed Ali.
This important workshop aimed to strengthen the active inclusion of Somali youth and children in environmental protection and climate change adaptation efforts. The workshop brought together civil society organizations, representatives from Federal Member States, government institutions, international partners, universities, and other key stakeholders who all played an important role in the consultations and drafting of the plan. Participants engaged in rich, in-depth dialogue on how to develop a unified approach to raise awareness and promote meaningful youth and children participation in environmental decision-making.
