Somalia Launches Groundbreaking NDC Implementation Plan at COP28

Somalia, classified as fragile and among the Least Developed Countries, proudly announces the launch of its first National Determined Contributions (NDC) Implementation Plan. This significant step forward comes after the successful update of Somalia’s NDC and the development of its inaugural NDC implementation action plan in November 2023, complete with fundable project concept notes.

The momentous official launch ceremony took place on December 2, 2023, at the COP28 in Dubai. His Excellency, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, graced the event, bringing to the forefront impactful strategies for both mitigation and adaptation in the fight against climate change.
