GREEN & RESILIENT ECOSYSTEMS FOR SOMALI LIVELIHOODS (HAL-ABUUR) PROJECT TECHNICAL CONSULTATIVE WORKSHOP

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, JFS, in partnership with (IFAD) and SADAR Institute jointly organised a consultative meeting International Fund for Agricultural Development  has held a consultation meeting to discuss the Green and Resilient Ecosystems for Somali Lives Project as part of the President’s Green Somalia Initiative. technical level brought together various stakeholders at the Federal level to discuss the goals of the Innovation Project.

The co-ordinator of the Hal-Abur project, Dr. Badal Ahmed Hassan, who opened the meeting, spoke about the importance of this project for the country and how the relevant government agencies can participate.

The purpose of the workshop was:
* To present the Hal-Abur Project to the Ministries at the Federal Level, and to confirm the project’s commitment to climate change in Somalia.
* To clarify the main challenges that may hinder the implementation of the project and the lessons learned.
* To share information about project initiatives.

The workshop concluded with ongoing collaboration and implementation of the proposed solutions, marking an important step towards achieving the project’s goals.

The participants proposed important recommendations for the goals of the project, and the participants also agreed to implement this project as soon as possible, which is important for the country, which can play a major role in the development of Somalia
