The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Dr. Saciid Mohamed Cali, inaugurated the second session of “Administration Day” at the Somalia Pavilion during #COP16Riyadh. The session, titled “Building Resilience: Somalia’s Path to Sustainable Environment and Youth-Led Solutions,” focused on the critical role of youth in tackling environmental challenges.
Through a panel discussion, participants delved into the pressing issues of desertification, environmental degradation, and droughts. The dialogue emphasized the importance of innovation and youth-led initiatives in driving sustainable solutions for these challenges.
High-ranking officials and experts attending the session shared insights on empowering Somali youth to become key agents of change in restoring degraded lands and fostering sustainable environmental practices.
