The delegation includes Somalia’s Ambassador to Turkey, Mr. Fathudiin Osbito, the Director General of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Mr. Yusuf Abdirahman Samatar, the Chairman of the National Disaster Management Agency, Mr. Mahmoud Malin Abdulle, and other influential figures.

At COP29, Somalia aims to secure valuable partnerships and financial support to address pressing climate issues. With the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change at the forefront, Somalia is keen to advance international cooperation and ensure adequate resources to combat the climate challenges that impact the nation. During the conference’s opening session, Minister Al-Makhzoumi met with global leaders to discuss essential climate concerns.
