Minister Bashir Mohamed Jama Chairs First Strategic Meeting to Advance Ministry’s Vision

The Minister of Environment and Climate Change of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Bashir Mohamed Jama, chaired his first meeting today, focusing on advancing the Ministry’s key tasks in line with national priorities. The meeting also served as an introductory platform for the Ministry’s leadership, including Department Directors, Advisors, and Section Heads.
Discussions centered on strengthening critical frameworks vital to Somalia’s development and structuring work processes to align with government protocols. The aim was to establish effective mechanisms for implementing the Ministry’s leadership vision, which underpins the country’s short- and long-term goals.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister, H.E. Dr. Saciid Mohamed Ali; the Director General, H.E. Yusuf Samatar; and Senior Advisor H.E. Abdullahi Godax Barre.
Minister Bashir underscored the importance of teamwork and unity in achieving the Ministry’s objectives. He emphasized the need to accelerate developmental initiatives and optimize productivity through effective delegation. The Minister encouraged Department Directors to leverage the knowledge and expertise of staff, ensuring that work is both efficient and impactful. This collaborative approach aims to advance the Ministry’s mission and support national progress.
