Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Somalia Facilitates Collaborative Workshop to Shape Strategic Plan for 2023-2028

Mogadishu, Somalia – 24 May 2023 – The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of the Federal Government of Somalia successfully concluded the second phase of a three-day workshop, which brought together key stakeholders from related Ministries, including the Ministries of Environment and Climate Change of the Regional Governments of the Federal Government of Somalia.

The workshop, dedicated to the formulation of the Ministry’s Strategic Plan for the next five years (2023-2028), showcased a collaborative effort towards enhancing environmental sustainability and climate resilience throughout the nation.

The workshop, attended by high-ranking officials, featured Ms. Faduma Abdi Ali, Deputy of the Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office. Her presence highlighted the significance of this initiative and the commitment of the Federal Government to address pressing environmental challenges.
