Climate Change Is The Most Threatening Global Challenge Faced By Humanity. Somalia Is One Of The Most Highly Vulnerable Countries Globally To The Adverse Impacts Of Climate Change Facing Frequent Threats From Extreme Weather Events, Flooding, And Drought Of Unprecedented Proportions. Somalia Considers Climate Change A Major Challenge To Its Socio-Economic Development And Is, Therefore, Determined To Play Its Part In Mitigating Global Climate Change While Actively Adapting To Its Effects. Ahead Of The Next UNFCCC Conference Of The Parties (COP26) In 2021, The Federal Government Of Somalia Has Prepared Its Revised And Updated Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC). The Directorate Of Environment And Climate Change (DoECC) Under The Office Of The Prime Minister Has Acted As The NDC Focal Point, Facilitating Input From Other Line Ministries, Both National And Sub-National Levels.
