Officials from the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of the Federal Government of Somalia, who are actively involved in the campaign to stop single-use plastic bags, visited business establishments to reinforce awareness about stopping the use of single-use plastic bags. This awareness campaign, which has been ongoing for a long time, aims to reduce the harm that plastic bags cause to the environment and public health.

Starting tomorrow, it will be prohibited for businesses to be seen using or selling single-use plastic bags. We especially encourage all members of the public and business owners to work together for the betterment of our environment.
