*New York:* The Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Amb. Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi, participated in a high-level meeting organized by the Global Center for Adaptation. The conference focused on climate change adaptation and how to strengthen global efforts to address the impacts of climate change.

Amb. Khadija stated that Somalia, one of the countries most vulnerable to the effects of climate change, relies on international efforts for support. She also highlighted that Somalia has implemented several initiatives aimed at enhancing the resilience of communities affected by droughts.

Furthermore, the Minister added that Somalia is actively engaged in protecting biodiversity and restoring the environment to safeguard livelihoods and ecosystems.
