*Jubbaland:* The State Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Omar, accompanied by the Minister of Environment and Climate Change of the Jubbaland Government, Mr. Ceydiid Suleiman Hashi, today jointly inaugurated a modern planting and tree care center established by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Jubbaland in the Luglow area of Lower Juba region.

The inauguration ceremony for the modern planting and tree care center was attended by members of the Jubbaland Cabinet, the Governor of Lower Juba, local community members, and some staff from the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Jubbaland.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the State Minister of Environment and Climate Change was taken to the Qaam-qaam area, which is home to a diverse range of trees, and is a protected area where cutting or damaging trees is prohibited, with regulations agreed upon by the local community for anyone who cuts down trees.
