Minister of state for the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Ahmed Omar Mohamed, accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Kamal Guutaale, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the opm, Mr. Abdirisaaq Ali, the Director-General of the Ministry of Environment, Mr. Yusuf Abdirahman Samatar, and the Director-Generals of the Ministries and Managers of Agencies that are partners with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, held an important meeting to discuss the country’s preparation for participating in the COP29 summit.
The meeting, chaired by the Deputy Minister, aimed to ensure that the country would have a unified agenda to present at the International Climate Change Conference, COP29. The outcome of the meeting emphasized strengthening and finalizing a national agenda for the country.
